N.E. versus Texas Board of Pharmacy

Case Study

N.E. versus Texas Board of Pharmacy

The client, a formerly licensed pharmacist, had lost licensure due to a criminal offense that resulted in imprisonment and hired the firm to assist with determining whether gaining licensure again was an option.

After a review of the facts in the case, the firm was able to convince the Board of Pharmacy during the application for reactivation of a license to relicense the pharmacist. In addition,  based on the facts of the case relative to the Board’s rules, the firm asked the Board to reduce the review process time period from the date of making the application relative to the notification to the Board regarding incarceration. Considering it was a prerequisite, this request prevented the extension of the time period for requesting the reactivation of the license, and enabled the client to regain licensure without having to wait.
